It will also have a 27-horsepower electric motor, which will be powered by a trunk-mounted NiMH battery. Volkswagen Golf TDI Hybrid comprises of 7-speed DSG dual clutch transmission,  than the usual CVTs used in hybrid cars. Regenerative braking as well as a stop/start system have been used in the automobile.
